Privacy Policy — J-Keyboard

1. Overview

J-Keyboard (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Android keyboard application handles your personal data, permissions, and audio input. Our core principle is simple: your keystrokes, personal messages, and passwords belong to you and are never logged, stored, or transmitted to any server.

2. Keystrokes & Typing Data

J-Keyboard operates as an on-device Input Method Editor (IME). All key presses, autocorrect dictionaries, customized themes, and user layout settings are processed locally on your device. We do not maintain any keylogger or remote keystroke storage.

3. Microphone & Voice Typing (RECORD_AUDIO)

When you tap the Kurdish Voice microphone button, the app temporarily records your voice to convert speech into text.

• Audio recordings are transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS to our speech recognition proxy.
• Voice data is processed transiently in-memory solely to generate text transcription.
• We do not retain, store, sell, or profile your voice audio files.

4. Device Identification & Quotas

To provide daily free speech-to-text allowances and prevent abuse, the application registers an anonymous random Installation ID (UUID) with our server. This identifier contains no personal details and cannot be linked to your identity.

5. Clipboard & Local Media (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES)

The clipboard history and screenshot preview features run entirely on your local device hardware. Clips and images are never uploaded to any cloud server without your explicit command.

6. Third-Party Services

The application may utilize Google Play Services (Play Integrity and Play Billing) to ensure security and manage optional in-app purchases in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies.
