Terms of Service — J-Keyboard

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the J-Keyboard Android application (“J-Keyboard”, “the App”), or accessing any related web services provided by J-Keyboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not install or use the application.

2. Privacy & On-Device Security

Your privacy is our utmost priority:

• No Keystroke Logging: All typing, autocorrect, and dictionary processes execute strictly on your device. We do not log, transmit, or monitor your typed characters, passwords, or personal messages.
• Local Input Method: J-Keyboard operates as a secure Input Method Editor (IME) compliant with official Android SDK and Google Play Security standards.

3. Google Account & Google Drive Cloud Backup

J-Keyboard offers optional Google Sign-In to enhance user experience:

• Backup Storage: When enabled by you, J-Keyboard securely saves your custom layouts, theme designs, and saved clipboard notes to a dedicated file (jkeyboard_cloud_backup.json) stored in your personal Google Drive account.
• Limited Access Scope: J-Keyboard only accesses files created specifically by and for J-Keyboard. We have no access to your personal documents, photos, or other files in Google Drive.
• Revocation: You can disconnect your Google Account at any time directly from the Account screen or via your Google Account Security settings.

4. Speech Recognition & Voice Typing

Voice typing requires microphone permission (RECORD_AUDIO). Audio is only recorded when you actively press and hold the voice input button. Audio streams are transmitted securely over TLS to generate speech-to-text transcriptions and are never retained, stored, or sold.

5. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases (VIP PRO)

Optional VIP PRO features (such as exclusive themes, unlimited layout slots, and extra tools) are billed exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing. All subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations are governed by Google Play Store terms and policies.

6. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to update, modify, or enhance features of J-Keyboard to maintain compatibility, improve performance, or adhere to updated Google Play policies.
